For our avid hunters or dog trainers, the 700i will easily sync with compatible Astro or Alpha handhelds to aid in tracking sporting dogs while in the field. The Garmin Montana 700 series is compatible with Garmin Outdoor+ Maps. The Outdoor+ Annual plan allows access to a wide variety of premium mapping content that is regularly updated. The Montana 700i can communicate via text with a full QWERTY keyboard to quickly and accurately type messages especially in an emergency situation. If the 700i user enables LiveTrack, those at home wanting to follow along can view the user’s location on their MapShare page. The Montana lets the user trigger an SOS to the GEOS 24/7 emergency response team for interactive support in the case of an emergency. GEOS is the world leader in emergency response solutions and monitoring. Not only will GEOS respond to the SOS and track the device, and contact the necessary emergency responders, GEOS will notify the user’s contacts and continue to message back and forth, providing updates and critical information until the situation is resolved.
